The Workers' Party of Korea WPK proudly celebrates the 80th anniversary this year of its glorious struggle against imperialism and reaction, its devotion to the cause of socialism, and its unshakable commitment to the Korean people.

Founded on October 1945, under the leadership of the PRESIDENT KIM IL SUNG, the Party became a school of revolution that changed the destiny of the Korean people, ignited the torch of the Juche idea, and laid the foundations of socialist Korea.

The history of the WPK is a unique epic of anti-imperialist struggle, revolutionary will, and popular socialism crowned with victory. From its foundation, the Party followed an independent and creative line suited to the specific conditions of the Korean revolution. The revolutionary ideas and leadership of PRESIDENT KIM IL SUNG led the Korean people to liberation from the yoke of Japanese imperialism and then to a historic resistance against American imperialist aggression. Thanks to the vital bond the Party established with the people's army and the people, it displayed a legendary resistance during the Fatherland Liberation War, defeating the world's most powerful imperialist state, and succeeded in protecting the bastion of socialism.

In Turkey, we bear the honour and responsibility of publishing PRESIDENT KIM IL SUNG's Selected Works with the aim of bringing the ideas and struggle of this great revolutionary leader to our people. These works represent not only the theoretical and practical accumulation of the Korean revolution but also the most profound expression of the Juche idea—the principles of independence, self-reliance, and creativity—which serve as a guide for all oppressed peoples. Translating these works into Turkish is an expression of our belief in the universality of the anti-imperialist struggle and the power of socialist thought.

The practice of the Workers' Party of Korea in defending, constructing, and continuously developing socialism is an invaluable source of experience and inspiration for all revolutionaries and communists around the world. Even under the most severe blockades and threats, the WPK never compromised on socialist principles, always prioritising the welfare of the people and the development of the country. Under the Party's leadership, Korea advancing under the banners of Juche and Songun has succeeded in building a powerful and prosperous nation relying on its own strength. This practice is the brightest proof that socialism is not merely a set of theories but a living system that can be triumphantly realised in the concrete lives of the people.

The immortal leadership of PRESIDENT KIM IL SUNG and COMRADE KIM JONG IL shines as the eternal guiding star of the Korean revolution and the world socialist cause. Comrade Kim Jong Un is the successor and continuer of this cause.

We, the KFA members in Turkey, value the lessons drawn by the Workers' Party of Korea from this struggle and utilise this precious experience in our own struggle. The glorious 80-year march of the WPK continues to inspire us, giving us strength and hope.

We celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea with our most heartfelt feelings and wish the Korean people, under the Party's leadership, greater success in their socialist journey. Long live the Workers' Party of Korea! Long live the brotherhood of the Turkish and Korean peoples!
