The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), founded by the great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG on October 10, 1945, can be proud of its great and glorious history for the wellbeing of the country and the people.

The WPK is the leading force of building of the socialist construction in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

In the eight decades the WPK led the construction of Juche-based socialism under the leadership of President KIM IL SUNG, Chairman KIM JONG IL and respected General Secretary KIM JONG UN.

Guided by the Juche idea and the Songun policy of priority of military affairs, socialist Korea overcame with strength and bravour all obstacles.

It won a brillant victory over the US imperialist aggressors in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953). This historic and worldmoving victory was possible with the single-minded unity of the Korean people around the Leader and the Party.

The unity, based on President KIM IL SUNG's love for the country and the people and the people's love for him, withstood the "mightiness" of the "superpower" United States.

No enemy, how strong it may be, is able to split the people's patriotic spirit and single-minded unity.

After the victory in the war, the WPK led the country's reconstruction, devastated by the brutal bombardements of the US imperialists, in a historic short time.

The Chollima Movement made of socialist Korea a modern, highly civilized and powerful nation.

The DPRK was built and developed to the socialist paradise on earth. President KIM IL SUNG's and Chairman KIM JONG IL's motto was The People is God - the same as of the respected Comrade KIM JONG UN.

With the 20 x 10 strategy the DPRK will achieve the transformation of the socialist society to communism in the near future.

Another great achievement of the WPK is the building of the country's strong nuclear deterrent. The DPRK possesses nuclear

weapons, ICBMs as well as reconnaissance satellites and is also a space power with earth satellites.

Thanks to the Songun policy and strategy of the WPK, socialist Korea is completely invincible and undestructible. It is the bulwark of world socialism.

When all other socialist countries including the Soviet Union collapsed, the DPRK not only survived this tragedy, but became even stronger.

Thanks to the Arduous March and the Forced March, it overcame all econonomic hardships and is realizing wonderful miracles of socialist construction.

The Korean people will celebrate the WPK's 80th founding anniversary splendidly with proudness and patriotism!

Long live the great and glorious Workers' Party of Korea! Glory to the great Leaders President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL!
