We are celebrating 80 years since the glorious Workers Party of Korea came to power. All of us should rejoice, as during these glorious 80 years, the WPK has, following the words of the Great Leaders, accomplished almost unbelievable feats, and has made Korea into a people’s paradise. All progressives of the world should look upon the WPK with admiration, and strive to emulate it’s successes in their nations.

The Workers Party of Korea originates from the traditions of the Anti-Japanese struggle. It’s predecessor was the Down-With-Imperialism Union, founded and led by President Kim Il Sung. From the very start, the WPK has been an anti-imperialist, people oriented organization, always working with the masses of the people in mind. President Kim Il Sung waged an ultimately successful armed struggle against the Japanese occupier for decades. During this time, He realized the limitations of existing Marxist-Leninist theory, which could not offer solutions to the Korean national liberation struggle. President Kim Il Sung developed the Juche idea as an answer to these issues. Juche has since become the most developed, man-centered philosophy in the history of mankind, illuminating it’s path to liberation. The WPK upholds and cherishes the Juche idea, which is the peak of ideological history of mankind, as taught by President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il. It’s the guiding idea of the Korean people, which they cherish and devote their lives to. The WPK upholds the Juche idea in all it’s policies, ensuring that the masses of the people are the masters of society.

The WPK’s policies, following the words of the Great Leaders, has improved the people’s standard of living to almost unimaginable heights. Just within the first few years of it’s reign, the WPK passed many important reforms in order to better the lives of the people. Industries and farms were nationalized, with the workers being given control of the means of production. The Law on Sex Equality ensured women’s equality in Korea, making sure that they participate in socialist construction and organizational life of the country.

Unfortunately, the first few years of the WPK’s reign have also been marked by war. The imperialist aggressors, led by the United States of America, launched a years-long, devastating war in Korea. The imperialist bombing campaign destroyed almost all Korean towns and cities, annihilating around 80 percent of it’s buildings. Additionally, the US, along with it’s south Korean puppets, perpetrated monstrous war crimes, slaughtering civilians, women and children. Hundreds of thousands of people died, as the imperialists wanted to accomplish their goal of destroying Korea as a nation. However, under the leadership of the President Kim Il Sung, and the Workers Party of Korea, Korea miraculously recovered. Cities were rebuilt from the ground up, with millions of Korean people participating in the reconstruction of their country, relying only on their own efforts. Entire industries were built from scratch, under the guidance of the party.

The WPK led Korean during this period of incredible growth. Korean workers, filled with the will to strive for victory in the cause of building a thriving nation, worked hard to rebuild their country and ensure its success and glory. During movements such as the Chollima Movement, production tremendously increased, and the DPRK economy grew extremely fast.

It continues to lead Korea, though times of extreme hardship, under the principle of self reliance, ensuring Korean independence, and maintaining it’s people-centered socialist system. During the 90’s, when other socialist countries were collapsing, Korea maintained it’s independence, despite attacks by imperialist powers. It never relented, even during times of famine and complete economic isolation. Korea has since recovered under the WPK’s leadership, growing into one of the most advanced economies of the modern world. Under the party’s wise leadership, the DPRK builds nuclear weaponry, forever ensuring it’s independence.

Imperialists and traitors can only watch in awe and furious envy, as the DPRK, a country which was bombed into oblivion, thrives, it’s people living in blissful happiness. The Korean people enjoy free healthcare, education, housing, while imperialist countries treat it’s people like cattle. A small country like the DPRK building a space and nuclear program is a modern miracle, all thanks to the party’s leadership.

The WPK has ensured the countries success by putting forward the Juche idea as the state political ideal, with single-minded ideological unity of the state, party and people. By giving definite preference to ideological work in society, firmly equipping all the people with the Juche idea in their hearts and minds, it guaranteed that the Korean people would firmly defend their socialism and independence, no matter the circumstances.

We must admire the WPK, and attempt to emulate it’s success in all our nations.
