The Workers’ Party of Korea is the supreme general staff of the Korean Revolution as it plays a vital role in constructing and guiding the Revolution .

Under President Kim il Sung , the WPK became the guiding force of Korean society , in its initial founding and in its rebuilding after the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War . The WPK is based on unity and has welded the masses around it . The WPK is not like other parties , it places great emphasis on solidifying internal ideological unity and building and consolidating mass foundations .

The WPK never fell into the trap of other communist parties by allowing bureaucracy and internal factionalism to weaken it , nor has it accepted the revisionism , so often seen in communist parties throughout the World .

Nowadays some communist parties have lost the trust and confidence of the masses . The WPK is not an elitist party , it contains members who are farmers , industrial workers , members of the armed forces and others from many other diverse back rounds .

From its leadership under President Kim il Sung , Chairman Kim Jong il and Marshal Kim Jong Un , the WPK has implemented truly revolutionary accomplishments such as free housing , free education , free healthcare and the abolition of taxes . Based on the practice of Juche , this makes the DPRK a stable and united society , striving forward in technology , self defence and superior weaponry . It excels in the areas of sports and arts and politically is an ever growing presence on the World stage .
