Dear Comrades! Dear friends!

Today, under the shining banner of the Workers’ Party of Korea, we proudly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the glorious foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea. Eighty years ago, when our people were shackled in chains of colonial oppression, the great leaders of our revolution raised the torch of liberation and built the invincible vanguard of the masses —the Workers’ Party of Korea. From that singular moment, the destiny of People's Korea changed forever.

For eight decades, the WPK has been the guiding light of the Korean people. Under its wise leadership, the DPRK has overcome trials that would have broken lesser nations. The flames of the Fatherland Liberation War could not extinguish the Party’s resolve; the ruins left by imperialist aggression became the soil in which a new, independent Korea was built. From the ashes, the Party raised beautiful cities, thriving factories, fruitful fields, and centers of science and culture.

It is the Workers’ Party of Korea that brought dignity and honor to the people. It is the Workers’ Party of Korea that taught to walk upright with well earned pride, to rely on the people's own strength, and to carve their own destiny through the immortal Juche Idea. This idea—born from the wisdom of the great Comrade KIM IL SUNG, further enriched by the leadership of Comrade KIM JONG IL, and carried forward today by Comrade KIM JONG UN—is the eternal lifeline of the Party and revolution.

Over the past 80 years, the WPK has transformed People's Korea into a fortress of independence and the shining beacon of socialist progress. When hostile forces tried to suffocate the revolution with blockades and sanctions, the Party answered with selfreliance and strength. When imperialists brandished threats of war, the Party responded with unbreakable unity and the sword of Songun. Today, the Republic stands as a powerful socialist state, defended by the might of the ever glorious Korean People's Army, advanced science and technology, and the unyielding spirit of every citizen.

Comrades, the greatness of the Party lies not only in its victories of the past, but in its vision for the future. The Workers’ Party of Korea is building a nation where every citizen enjoys a life of dignity and honor, where children grow strong and healthy, where the arts and sciences flourish, and where the people are the true masters of society. The bright future of socialism is not a distant dream—it is being built in the DPRK right now, brick by brick, by the hands of heroic workers, farmers, soldiers, and intellectuals, under the unfailing leadership of the Party.

Eighty years is a proud history, but it is only the prologue to greater victories ahead. Let us march forward with confidence, united around the Central Committee of the Party and the leadership of the respected Comrade KIM JONG UN. Let us defend socialism, strengthen our self-reliance, and build a prosperous, powerful nation that will shine for centuries to come.
