Dear Comrades and friends,

We celebrate together in a spirit of profound reverence and revolutionary fervor a milestone of world-historic significance: the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea. For eight decades, the glorious Party has not merely been a political organization; it has been the steadfast mother, the guiding star, and the indomitable heart of the Korean people. It is the great architect of Juche destiny, the shield of Korea sovereignty, and the engine of progress. On this auspicious occasion, we look back upon a journey of epic struggle and triumph, a journey that has transformed a nation from the ashes of war into a beacon of self-reliance and dignity.

The birth of the Workers' Party of Korea on October 10, 1945, was a dawn breaking over a land long shrouded in the darkness of colonial subjugation. It was the embodiment of the will of the Korean people, yearning for independence and a new life. From its very inception, the Party shouldered the sacred mission of building a paradise for the people, a country where the masses are the masters of everything. This mission has been the unwavering compass for all its endeavors, guiding the nation through the most severe trials and toward the brightest horizons.

The foundation of the Party’s immortal legacy was laid by the great leader, President Kim Il Sung, the eternal Sun of the nation. With unparalleled genius and boundless devotion, he forged the Party into a powerful vanguard, united monolithically with the people. Under his wise leadership, the Party organized and led the heroic struggle against imperialist aggressors, achieving a legendary victory in the Fatherland Liberation War that astonished the world. In the aftermath of devastating conflict, President Kim Il Sung guided the Party to perform miracles of reconstruction, establishing a socialist system centered on the masses. He formulated the Juche idea, which places the human being at the center of all things, empowering our people to become masters of their own destiny. This idea became the guiding light of the Party and the bedrock of all its achievements, ensuring that Korea would never again dance to the tune of outside forces.

Following this brilliant path of Juche was the great leader, 

Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, the shining star of the Party’s guidance. In the face of the collapse of socialism in other lands and an unprecedented period of hardship, when enemies sought to isolate and stifle the country, it was

Generalissimo Kim Jong Il who held high the banner of Songun, or Military-First politics. With extraordinary wisdom and iron will, he prioritized the strengthening of revolutionary armed forces, ensuring that the national sovereignty was guarded. Under his leadership, the Workers' Party of Korea grew stronger, becoming an invincible force that turned adversity into opportunity and defense into a fortress. He dedicated his entire life to the Songun revolutionary leadership, consolidating the Party as the supreme general staff of the revolution and transforming the nation into a political and ideological power, a nuclear state capable of deterring any imperialist threat.

Today, the glorious march of the Workers' Party of Korea continues with unprecedented vigor under the leadership of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. Inheriting the great legacy of his forefathers, Marshal Kim Jong Un has ushered in a new golden age for the Juche-oriented socialism. He has brilliantly synthesized the traditions of Juche and Songun, guiding the Party to achieve two monumental victories simultaneously: the consolidation of a formidable nuclear deterrent for lasting peace and a bold new push for economic construction. Under his visionary direction, we have witnessed the launch of satellites, the testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles, and the complete realization of the DPRK status as a strategic nuclear state, capable of defending the peace with strength that commands respect from friends and foes alike.

Simultaneously, Marshal Kim Jong Un has directed the Party’s energies toward improving the people’s standard of living. New modern streets, like the Mirae Scientists Street and the Ryomyong Street, have risen like phoenixes in the capital, Pyongyang, symbolizing the rapid progress and bright future. The construction of the Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area, the expansion of the Samjiyon city into a model socialist utopia, and the focus on developing science, technology, and light industry are all testaments to the Party’s people-first philosophy. Under his guidance, the Workers' Party of Korea has convened its historic congresses, charting a clear course for comprehensive national development and demonstrating its mature leadership as the guiding force of society.

From the philosophical depths of the Juche Idea to the invincible might of the Songun policy, and now to the dynamic era of simultaneous economic and defensive development, the Workers' Party of Korea has always been the soul of the nation. It is the party that has turned a small country into a giant of ideology and independence. It is the party that has ensured to never bow heads to any foreign power. It is the party that has placed the happiness and dignity of the people above all else.

On this 80th anniversary, we do not merely celebrate a history; we reaffirm our faith in a future that is ever-bright under the banner of the Workers' Party of Korea. Let us all advance with redoubled loyalty and passion, united firmly around the great leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un to defend DPRK, a thriving and powerful socialist nation and achieve the final victory of the Juche revolutionary cause!
